You may be curious why a hardcore retired combt soldier who does not cook and needs a grocery list prepared by his wife author a website aimed at cooking and recipes? Well my primary reason is I enjoy eating; second I love trying new recipes and third is for sharing recipes with family, friends and the rest of the world. Any one who likes to cook (or eat) will tell you that part of the fun of cooking is sharing good recipes. What better way than online. At The Recipe Bunker, you will find a collection of recipes my wife and have accumulated from other family, military friends, friends, during our travels around the world, magazines and other resources. Most of the recipes are “tried-and-true” recipes, many with photos, plus an abundance of shared recipes from contributors. In addition there are, cooking tips, links and lots of other fun and interesting stuff. I will post additions and revisions to my site as they occur throughout the month so please visit often. As members of the married military community we were always met with another unique opportunity. This community a cross section of America coming from all backgrounds, ethnic regions, religions, educational levels and many marriages to foreign nationals from foreign countries around the world and dinner time at some of these households could pretty interesting at times. What was really interesting was when military families got together and had “block” parties. You’d have your traditional Hot Dogs, Hamburgers and traditional foods but you’d also have Thai, Vietnamese, Korean, German, Japanese, Filipino, and other fantastic foreign dishes coming out for all to enjoy and recipes were always shared. So share yours with everyone that comes to this site. Now this site is always under construction I have some great recipes here but I need more. Please email me.
